On 1st February 2010, the Government published a consultation on the proposed design of the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme, which it aims to introduce in April 2011*.
The Renewable Heat Incentive will provide financial support for those who install renewable heating, which qualifies for support under the scheme. It proposes paying a 'tariff' to producers of renewable heat - see table below for solar hot water tariffs.

*Systems installed after July 2009 by an MCS Accredited installer will also be eligible for the Renewable Heat Incentive. Payments will still begin from April 2011.
