"Since the installation of the solar hot water heating system by 4Solar our domestic boiler runs for only 15 minutes in the morning. This is just to ensure that we have a really hot shower first thing. For the rest of the day the solar system takes care of allof our hot water needs even though it is December and the sun is low in the sky (when it shines). On a sunny day the collector reaches a temperature of 66 to 70C even whenthe ambient temperature is below 10C.
The installation process was relatively straightforward and lasted just two days. The team made a very tidy job of the pipe work and rearranged the plumbing that had been installed when the house was built to make it much neater and improve theuseable space in the airing cupboard.
Thanks to all concerned - so far in three weeks we have received 24kWh of energy."
